Where it all started

Once upon a time, Lizzie May was created - by Claire - who wanted to spend her time creating beautiful things for people that shared her eye for design. 
Originally, Lizzie May was an events company called ‘Occasion All Events’. At first, Claire organised, styled and co-ordinated events in the Cambridgeshire area and people loved her for her passion and charm. After a while, the business grew and Claire decided to open a boutique in the Bluntisham Garage. Soon after opening, Nina joined to complete the second half of Lizzie May and started creating the most beautiful bouquets – being located inside a garage, there were plenty of husbands buying last minute flowers!!
The floristry was a great addition to not only the Boutique but also the events side of the company – now providing flowers to most events.
With both sides of the business growing, they made the decision to relocate to The Grey House, in Hemingford Grey, located next to a gorgeous lake next to other likeminded, small businesses.
As time went one and events bookings boomed, there was a need to employ some new team members!
First, Lydia joined with the intentions to work primarily in the shop. Over time, Lydia spent a lot of extra time doing events such as weddings and corporate parties – she even dabbled in floristy! This led to her starting her Events Apprenticeship with Lizzie May.
A few months later, with a need to grow socials, Charlotte was employed as Marketing Executive. Studying a master’s in digital marketing, this was the perfect fit! Socials have since grown and brand awareness has increased.
This leads us up to now. We are a passionate, incredibly hard-working team (If we do say so ourselves) who also love to enjoy life outside of work!
We are looking forward to a busy and prosperous 2024 with lots of weddings and celebrations!
